
Thurston County Chamber
The Thurston County Chamber has a long history of commitment to Thurston County businesses and the community at large. Established in 1873, we are the oldest and one of the most influential of all chambers in Washington State.
Throughout history, the Thurston County Chamber has:
•maintained the Olympia Area as the seat of government for the state
•taken on local, state, and national issues, including maintaing the name of Mt. Rainier
•regional transportation improvements, and creating a Port District
•been instrumental in the creation of numerous community organizations, including:
◦Capital Lakefair ◦Thurston Economic Development Council ◦Visitor and Convention Bureau
Our mission is to build community prosperity through a unified voice to support free enterprise. With this mission in mind, the Chamber has worked diligently to improve economic expansion, new jobs, higher incomes, and a solid, well-proportioned tax base.
Through membership, businesses have the ability to increase sales, increase profit margins by cutting expenses, and brand themselves with their communities
